Among the most defining features of the OptiSigns Pro Digital Signage Player is its capability for continuous playback.

While developing the unit, we focused on several pain points:

• Players slowing down due to overheating
• Storage failures
• Power on/off control and scheduling

The first issue we tackled using an industrial design with passive cooling, and a large area for heat dissipation. This was our number one focus for the device, and we hope you’ll see the difference for yourself.

Second, many similar devices encounter issues with storage unit failures. Most use cheaper eMMC storage or external SD cards, which, while faster than old HDD devices, have a high failure rate. For this reason, we chose to go with the faster, newer, and more reliable industrial SSD to reduce failure and eliminate loading and lag across the board for all cached and stored data. The Pro Player comes with 128GB of SSD storage.

Finally, the device has a built-in RTC battery. This will store the correct time, even through a power or network failure. With this capability, the device can be powered on or off in BIOS to be physically powered off during off-hours. Combined with the OptiSigns operational schedule feature, this will save on power consumption and reduce electricity costs.

Easy to Mount and Set Up

The OptiSigns Pro Player comes with a custom-built, patent-pending mounting bracket. That may not seem like a big deal at first, but you’ll find it makes deployment far easier. With this bracket, the device can easily be mounted on a wall or on the back of any TV mounting bracket.

The device is only 24mm thick, letting it easily fit behind nearly any screen, regardless of setup.

These design choices were done to address another major pain point: when not in stick format, many people have issues finding a place to put the device. With this bracket and this slim profile, it’s easy to mount the Pro Player to any existing screen.
